How to connect a Yamaha keyboard to Komputer

The keyboard musical instrument that is commonly used for playing music can also be used as a controller for a computer. The function of a keyboard controller is as a tool for recording musical instruments using music software, such as Nuendo, Cubase, Studio One, FL Studio, and others.

There are three important tools to ensure that the connection runs smoothly:
  • Desktop computer or laptop equipped with music programs, such as FL Studio, Pro Tools, Cubase, etc.
  • Musical keyboard that has MIDI or USB output.
  • USB cable that is used to connect the keyboard to the computer. You can use the same type of cable that is used to connect a printer to a computer or laptop.
The next step is :
  • Turn on your musical keyboard.
  • Launch the DAW on your computer, for example: FL Studio, Pro Tools, Cubase, etc. Here, I'm using FL Studio.
  • Go to the FL Studio menu options. Then select MIDI settings. Select the Digital Keyboard MIDI device, since I am using that keyboard. Click Enable under the input column.
  • Try pressing the keys on your musical keyboard to ensure that the connection is active. If it is active, a yellow signal will appear in the hint panel when you press the keys. This signal indicates that your musical keyboard is already connected to FL Studio.
The steps outlined above are how to connect your musical keyboard to your computer or laptop. This step applies to all DAWs; the difference is only in the menu of your chosen DAW, but the goal remains the same.

I hope it is useful, and I thank you ...
